Homo erectus in Sangiran made various stone tools with different size. Those artifacts are dominated by various small flakes about 2-4 cm, thin, and sharp, most of them are made from chalcedony. The domination of those flakes caused the famous citation Sangiran –Flakes Industry. This kind of flakes are found in each stratigraphy, from 1,2 – 0,2 mya. In addition, are also found the bigger tools, commonly from stone such as silicified andesite in the form of chopping, chopper, hand-axe, and bolas.
