The increasing activities in area around the volcanoes at 1,8 mya had spewed thousands cubic of volcanic lava. Lava Breccias sediment were found in Krikilan village, where the Museum was built, in Bukuran Village at the north of Cemoro River, and in Krendowahono Village, in the south part of Cemoro River.

At around 1,8 mya, there was the increasing subduction of oceanic crust, resulted in the volcanism activities, accompanied by the lifting of the range of South Mountains and Kendeng Mountains. The marine environment of Sangiran area was changed in transitional formation between marine to the land. (Suwita Nugraha, Wulandari, Iwan SB)
