Direct chipping technique is done by hitting stones to produce fragments. By a continuous chipping, a required tool is made. The artist uses different kinds of percutor materials depends on their needs. It can be classified into two kinds of percutor: the hard percutor like stone and the soft one like bones, woods, etc.
