Merti Desa or Bersih Desa basically is a traditional ceremony that symbolizes people’s gratitude for God who blesses them with grants, safety, harmony, and tranquility. Besides, it is also an occasion for the community to built relationship and respects among them. It is a reflection of a harmony between human and the nature since human has utilized everything that the nature provides. Such ceremony is conducted after the harvest festival to show togetherness and local wisdom they posses. This is a kind of communal ceremony that is done annually with a purpose to respect their ancestors including the founder of the village.
