Sangiran Stratigraphy And Early Environment (Cemoro River split Sangiran Dome)

Cemoro river’s flow from west to east and split Sangiran Dome. The river succeeded in maintaining its flows whenever the Sangiran Dome was formed. The scratch of the flows had revealed the structure of Sangian stratigraphy (layers) from Kalibeng Formation to Notopuro Formation.

Nowadays, most of Cemoro Rivers was utilized for farm irrigation through Bapang Channels in Southwest of Sangiran Museum. The construction of the irrigation channels should peeled the clay layer of Pucangan Formation and had revealed the early man skull fossil (S27) in Krajan Sub village, Krikilan, Village, in 1978.
